Chad’s Steakhouse is the Place for Steaks

I went to Chad’s Steakhouse last night to watch Matt Russell’s “On The Menu, LIVE” radio show, the most delicious hour on radio. The show was, as always, entertaining and informative. Plus, Matt is always good about giving TucsonNightOut.com a good plug on the air. You can listen to last night’s show by clicking here (if it’s not posted yet, it will be very soon). The show was broadcast from the bar or “saloon” at Chad’s. I was joined by Matt’s wife Nancy and Nancy’s friends Mike & Stacy Sump from Long Realty and their families.

We all had a really great time during the show and after we all ordered dinner, steaks of course. What I really like about Chad’s is the casual, comfortable atmosphere. Nothing pretentious here, just a good place for a cowboy, or someone who likes to wear cowboy boots, to have an adult beverage and a good steak. Prices are very reasonable, the staff is super friendly and the owner, Shaun is there almost all the time. Everyone in our group agreed we would all be back sometime and I hope you will give them a try real soon. Right now is a great time to go as they are celebrating their 20th year in business with 20th Anniversary Sp ecials. Chad’s also has Happy Hour Specials Monday – Friday.

Picazzo’s Pizza Reopens Today

Updates include a swanky new patio, interior lighting, and décor,

a brand new staff, and a unique happy hour menu featuring $5 plates.

TUCSON (FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE) – After three months of renovations, Picazzo’s Organic Italian Kitchen in Tucson is reopening its doors at 11 a.m. Friday, February 18, and encouraging Tucson foodies hungry for organic pizza, pasta, and salads to stop by and experience a new team, updated décor, and a unique happy hour menu featuring seven $5 plates.

“Tucson is a great location, and our guests there love to eat healthy,” says Picazzo’s founder Rick Freedman. “When the franchisee was no longer able to run the restaurant, I decided to buy it and renovate it myself.”

In addition to updated paint, lighting, and décor items inside the dining room and bar areas, the Tucson Picazzo’s also sports a swanky new outdoor patio complete with umbrellas and plants.

“I’m excited to be part of the team, and we’ve hired some great people,” says Ernesto Torres, a Tucson native and new general manager of the Tucson Picazzo’s. “And our new happy hour menu will give new and returning guests something they haven’t seen before.”

The new happy hour menu, unique to the Tucson location, will feature seven $5 plates in addition to drink specials served daily from 3 to 6 p.m. throughout the restaurant. The $5 plates include Picazzo’s popular baked wings, in addition to new food creations like Anaheim stuffed baked peppers with sausage, meatball sliders, smoked chicken, and organic vegetable wraps and dolmas. Five of the seven items have a gluten-free option. The Love Potion, Picazzo’s popular signature cocktail for February, will also be offered for $5, in addition to discounts on wine and beer.

Picazzo’s Organic Italian Kitchen in Tucson is located on 7850 North Oracle Road, Oro Valley, in the shopping center with Trader Joe’s. Picazzo’s Organic Italian Kitchen provides a natural and health-conscious approach to Italian cuisine in an upscale yet casual atmosphere with gluten-free options on nearly all menu items. Restaurants are open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Outdoor patios are available for lunch, dinner, and special occasions.

Nana’s Kitchen joins the TNO party

A big welcome to Nana’s Kitchen as they join the TucsonNightOut family. Nana’s Kitchen is located in Marana, just off I10 at the Cortaro Road Exit in the Arizona Pavillions. Why is it called Nana’s Kitchen, because Nana is always in the kitchen cooking up marvelous Mexican food using many of her own recipes. Family owned and family run, it’s hard to find an employee at Nana’s who is not a relative.

Nana’s serves breakfast lunch and dinner 6 days a week and just breakfast and lunch on Sunday. In addition to their regular menu the have a $4.99 Breakfast Special Monday – Friday and Lunch Specials for only $6.45 Monday – Friday.

If you are in the mood to celebrate, come to Nana’s this Saturday for their 2nd Anniversary Party. They will have specials all day long, starting with a $5.00 breakfast plate, $6.75 lunch plate, $7.25 dinner plate, $1.50 domestics, $2.50 imports, $2.00 margaritas and mariachis from 6-8 p.m.

Welcome Ballistic to TNO

The newest band to join TucsonNightOut is Ballistic. They haven’t gone ballistic, the just are Ballistic. They describe themselves as BIG GUN ROCK! Classic to Modern Rock covers with a few originals. You can catch them this Saturday at the World Famous Sam’s on Golf Links and Kolb. No cover. Then they will be at Stadium Grill on Orange Grove and I10 on Friday, July 30. Go check them out, but only if you planning to have a really good time. Tell your friends!

If you have the appetite, Putney’s has the Burger. Putney’s Sports Grill at 6090 N Oracle Rd is home of Lily’s Hall of Fame Burger. This burger starts with not one, but two half pound choice beef burgers topped with ham, turkey, bacon, American and Swiss cheeses, grilled onions, green chilies and an egg!!! Rumor has it that Lily, a 105 pound woman, a coal miner from Bisbee, first ordered this custom burger back in the early 90′s at Putney’s. Not only did she eat the entire burger and all the fries, but she then ordered the Giant Brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup and finished it as well. If Lily can handle this burger, you should be able to.

New Burger and Beer Coupon

I just added a new coupon from Create Cafe for one of their burgers, specialty fries and a draught beer for only $7.99. This a coupon only for Dinner, 4 – 8 pm Tuesday through Friday. Burgers include the 1/3lb beef, 1/2lb beef, turkey burger, portabella cap, chicken, flat falafel and the salmon burger. I haven’t tried the salmon burger yet, but I hear it’s excellent.

If you’re not a beer drinker, you can substitute a soft drink or a milkshake for the beer.
